  The compact handheld design, along with data storage capability for up to 100 readings, makes OMEGA's HHTFO-1 fiber optic thermometer ideal for field use. The HHTFO-1 is immune to all electromagnetic and radio interference (EMI and RFI). The operating principle of the fiber optic sensor is based on the known light absorption characteristics vs. temperature of a semi-conductor crystal placed at the end of an optical fiber. A variety of available fiber optic probes are interchangeable without recalibration.
